Where the East Coast Plan Began

Caring - Supporting Every Resident

  • Strengthen financial aid for lower-income families, such as through the 200=100@East Coast initiative, which provided essential items at half price to those in need.
  • Provide daily essentials support, like the Grocery Vouchers Assistance Scheme and Gd Lobangs@KCC
  • Expand access to healthcare, with Mobile TCM Clinics and health screening programmes under Healthier East Coast.
  • Support students from vulnerable families, through free tuition programmes and the Spectacles Assistance Scheme.
  • Promote food security and well-being for seniors, via efforts like Siglap Hearty Meals and Plate It Forward
  • Empower seniors to plan for their future, with LPA Workshops

Vibrant - Living Actively Together

  • Promote digital and lifelong learning, with Digital Clubs, Girls4Tech, and youth-focused upskilling sessions.
  • Activate our community spaces through mural projects, art trails, and the creation of multi-generational fitness corners across the GRC.
  • Foster intergenerational bonding, via Youth Conversations, ASK HSK Dialogues, and shared celebrations like estate-wide National Day decorations.
  • Inspire local creativity and pride, through co-created murals and exhibitions involving over thousands of residents.

Green - Creating a Sustainable East Coast

  • Encourage urban farming and food sustainability, through efforts like East Coast Grows for Good, Pelatok Art Farm, and Siglap Hearty Meals Initiative.
  • Promote sharing and reduce waste, with Community Fridges in Bedok, Siglap, Changi Simei, and Fengshan.
  • Strengthen community recycling habits, via East Coast Green Ambassadors, textile and e-waste bins, and estate-wide drives.
  • Green our shared spaces, with over 700 trees planted and 30+ community gardens rejuvenated.

We don’t need a car to move around and enjoy the variety of activities. Just walk around the neighbourhood and eat, play, even picnic.

Ms Tiffany Lim

Every time I am informed of the beach clean-up events, I’ll come and participate as long as I’m able to. I definitely hope more people can get involved.

Mr Raymond Leong

Apart from doing exercises, I think the seniors have found ourselves to be part of the community, and that we are actually taking care of one another.

Madam Peggy Lee

We wanted to do something to help residents with the cost of living. We usually try not to increase prices - only doing so if there’s no choice.
